Description The Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (ESDP) Scheme is a Central Sector continuing scheme, under O/o DC-MSME, M/o MSME. The objective of the programme is to motivate young persons (Men and Women) representing different sections of the society including SC/ST women, physically handicapped, Ex-servicemen, and BPL persons to consider self-employment or entrepreneurship as one of the career options. The ultimate objective is to promote new enterprises, build capacity of existing MSMEs and inculcate entrepreneurial culture in the country. In the present ESDP scheme guidelines that got approved on 25.3.2022.

3. Management Development Programme (MDP) Minimum One Week Participants: - 25-30 (Minimum 25)
Mostly Conducted by MSME-DFOs and some IAs.
4. Advance E-SDP Minimum One Week Participants: About 20
Conducted by Implementing Agencies (IAs) like IITs/IIMs/ICAR/BARC/NIMSME/NIESBUD/Central & State Agricultural Universities, etc.
5. Advance MDP Minimum One Week Participants: About 25
Conducted by Implementing Agencies (IAs) like IITs/IIMs/ICAR/BARC/NIMSME/NIESBUD/Central & State Agricultural Universities, etc.
Who can apply? Aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, MSME owners looking to scale their businesses, Individuals from weaker sections interested in starting a business, the qualification of the participants and structure of the fees will be decided by the Implementing Agencies. The age of the participants will be 18 years and above.

1.2. Assistance to Training Institutions (ATI)

Related Scheme Assistance to Training Institutions (ATI)
Description The assistance is provided to National level training institutions operating under the Ministry of MSME, namely, NIMSME, KVIC, Coir Board, Tool Rooms, NSIC & MGIRI in the form of capital grant for the purpose of creation and strengthening of infrastructure and support for entrepreneurship development and skill development training programmes. Assistance is also provided to existing State level EDIs for creation or strengthening/expansion of their training infrastructure.
Nature of assistance Amount of assistance will not exceed the actual amount for strengthening/ expansion of the infrastructure required by the training institutions of this Ministry. Scale of maximum assistance to the State level EDIs will be restricted to Rs.3.00 crore in each case. Assistance for skill development programmes will be provided as per the prescribed rates.
Who can apply? Institutions of Ministry of MSME and existing State level EDIs.
